Department Profile[]

Lyndon Rescue, Inc., formerly Lyndon State Rescue Squad, is a paramedic level ambulance service based out of Lyndon, Vermont. Formed in 1976, the company was originally a club at Lyndon State College (now Vermont State University - Lyndon). In 1996, the club transitioned into a full-time, paid agency, after the club faced membership and funding issues. The company staffs one ambulance 24/7 at the Lyndon Station, with on-call and off-duty members staffing the ambulance at the fire station. A transfer service is also provided from Northern Vermont Regional Hospital.

Formerly, Lyndon Rescue also covered the towns of Brighton and Norton, alongside nearby unincorporated areas, through a second station located at the Brighton Fire Department. Lyndon Rescue left the service area when Newport Ambulance took over the area through their station in Morgan.

In the early 2010's, Lyndon Rescue began managing the failing Danville Rescue until they were acquired by Calex Ambulance in 2013.
